When Jay and I get home from work we are always tired and neither of us wants to figure out what we are having for dinner. This week is my first week trying to do some meal planning. By planning in advance I am hoping to be more organized, eat healthier, and maybe even save some money. We shall see.
At $5 Dinners.com under “Strategies” and then “Printable Planners” I found a grocery shopping list with meal plan. It has a space for what you are going to eat each night on the right and for your shopping list on the left. I have printed this out and am going to use it when I go grocery shopping tonight.
You may be wondering what meals I have planned for my first week. It was difficult to choose. I was trying to think of dinners that taste good, are good for us, are easy to make, and that are not too expensive. Here is what I came up with:
Monday – chicken, pasta, and a vegetable
Tuesday – homemade pizza with vegetable toppings
Wednesday – quesadillas with beans and cheese
Thursday – tuna melts with pasta salad
Friday – spaghetti with garlic bread and a salad
Saturday – burgers with beans
Sunday – finish all leftovers
Do you have any suggestions for meals that I should add to one of my future meal plans? If you do, please let me know.
